Working in partnership, Gensler and Skender Construction have recently completed the new corporate headquarters for JMC Steel, the largest independent pipe and tube manufacturer in North America.

In a move that relocated their corporate headquarters from Beachwood, Ohio to the Chicago Loop, the new 29,000 sf JMC Steel headquarters at 227 West Monroe, features a subtly branded, yet striking, interior environment. Construction was completed by Skender in just 12 weeks.

Project features include:

  • Pipe and tube products are creatively showcased in various locations throughout the office, including a large screen wall “gallery”, in the main conference room.
  • A large sliding door and structural glass & steel reception desk are among the office’s many unique designs.
  • Knoll products were used in the design of the open and collaborative interiors. BD+C
