As a continuation of LVMH Group’s tradition of art patronage, the Foundation Louis Vuitton is established to encourage and promote contemporary artistic creation internationally. The foundation's building is nearing completion and will be open to public on October 27 2014.
The building, a 125,000-sf glass structure designed in Frank Gehry’s signature curvaceous shape planned in the verdant 16th arrondissement, will house eleven galleries dedicated to permanent and temporary exhibitions.
In addition, a flexible auditorium will provide a platform for multi-disciplinary performances and events.
The unique location–a hectare of land in Paris’ historic park Bois de Boulogne–inspired Gehry’s glass design, which offers the foundation panoramic views of the Jardin d’Acclimatation.
