A new mixed-use tower proposal has been approved by The Sacramento Planning Commission, SB Nation reports.
The project, named Downtown Plaza Tower, will have 16 stories and stand next to the new downtown Sacramento arena. According to SB Nation, the development will include a public lobby, retail and office space, 250 hotel rooms, and residences at the top of the tower.
The share of space is 35,000 sf for office and 45,000 sf of retail and dining. A plaza area will be shared with the arena.
Construction is slated for completion in fall 2016, the same time as the new downtown arena.
