Evidence-based BIM theme of fall BIM Forum

Evidence-based BIM theme of fall BIM Forum

By Jeff Yoders, BD+C Contributing Editor | September 27, 2010

In the last five years evidence-based design has grown from a mainly healthcare design method to being used in such applications as school and commercial building design and construction, and its principles may be applicable to other building types as well. Using EBD in conjunction with building information modeling is the theme of the Fall AGC BIM Forum, “Evidence on BIM: High performance Hype Meets Reality,” October 14-15 at the W Hotel, Midtown Atlanta. The meeting will focus on whether real-world evidence substantiates the claims that BIM leads to higher performance in design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
