The McBride Company and Peanuts Worldwide have combined to create an experiential dining concept with Charles Schulz’s Peanuts Gang serving as the backdrop.

The design centers around an intimate “neighborhood” cafe concept with a larger version for flagship locations. The cafe will be a blend of a neighborhood restaurant, a bakery, and a coffeehouse that takes a contemporary approach to mid-century modern architecture and bohemian design.

CafeEntry

Guests will be able to enjoy a “Great Pumpkin” muffin with their coffee or order from an “exactly what I was looking for” menu. An in-house distillery will provide local craft beer and mugs of “Woof! Root Beer.” Features such as the “teacher talk box,” holiday memorabilia, and other elements that tie to Peanuts television specials will be incorporated into the design.

Restaurant Piano Bar

Black and white comic strips, storyboards, and cels incorporating pops of color will fill oversized frames. A stage meant to look like Lucy’s psychiatry stand will host live performances and an in-character retail area will create a unique shopping experience.

The cafe concept is part of the Peanuts brand’s 70th anniversary celebration in 2020.
