By DUro-Last | April 26, 2017

SAGINAW, MICHIGAN — Duro-Last, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of custom-fabricated single-ply roofing systems, is pleased to announce the promotion of multiple team members within their Saginaw headquarters. Cory Gergar now serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Duro-Last and its sister companies; Mike Gwizdala is now General Manager of metals operations at Duro-Last, including EXCEPTIONAL® Metals; and Eric Whelton has accepted the position of Assistant Product Manager for Duro-Guard® insulation products at Duro-Last.

Cory Gergar has served as Chief Financial Officer of Duro-Last since 2012, overseeing all accounting activities including financial analysis, strategic planning, policy development and implementation, as well as compliance and reporting in support of corporate objectives for Duro-Last and its sister companies. His extensive background in financial management has been integral in the continued growth of Duro-Last. The addition of the Executive Vice President title reflects the growth in Cory’s responsibilities over the past year to include management of the Information Technology and Purchasing departments as well.

Mike Gwizdala joined the Duro-Last team in 1993 as an Inside Sales Manager. Since that time he has held numerous other positions including Corporate Events Manager, Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, and most recently Director of Product Management. Over the past several years, Mike has been an instrumental member in the development of Duro-Last’s Duro-Guard insulation and Duro-Light™ skylight product lines along with the EXCEPTIONAL Metals brand. He was also a key player in EXCEPTIONAL Metals’ partnership with Metal Building Components, Inc. (MBCI) to launch a standing seam metal program.

Eric Whelton has been a member of the Duro-Last team for 10 years, and has been instrumental in developing the Duro-Guard insulation product line for Duro-Last in his previous role as Insulation Services Supervisor. With this promotion, Eric will work closely with vendors and assume overall responsibility for the continued growth and success of the Duro-Guard product line.

"The recent promotions of key leaders within the Duro-Last team; which include some of the most passionate, knowledgeable, and forward-thinking professionals in the industry; will only enhance our ability to continue to provide the World’s Best Roofing Systems,” said Tom Saeli, Chief Executive Officer of Duro-Last, Inc.
