LakePointe Urban Village, a 214-acre mixed-use development expected to exceed $670 million, recently received unanimous development approval from the city of Covington, Wash. The mixed-use community will include an 850,000-sf regional and lifestyle center, a 130-key hotel, up to 1,500 single-family homes and multifamily residences, a 20-acre lake, and open space and trails. A peninsula will extend into the property’s 20-acre lake and contain retail shops, restaurants, a pavilion park, homes, and green space.
LakePointe’s main street will allow for vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The buildings will feature eclectic and traditional design elements to create a sense of timelessness. Groundbreaking is expected to occur in early 2018.
Lakepointe is a joint venture between Oakpointe Communities and Presidio Residential Capital. KTGY Architecture + Planning is the master planner and designer.
