A new 24,000-sf prototype of The Container Store has been dubbed by the company as the brand’s Next Generation Store. The prototype includes a refreshed customer experience with an infusion of technology.

This technological infusion takes the shape of 18 digital touchscreens, an optimized product navigation system, and the new Custom Closets Studio. The Custom Closets Studio includes closet vignettes that allow customers to visualize a variety of offerings at different price points. Another new component is The Organization Studio, a digital experience that allows customers to share their personal organization challenges by uploading photos or videos online and then set-up in-store appointments with one of the brand’s experts.

The next-gen design was unveiled earlier this year and will serve as a test-and-learn environment to determine elements for eventual rollout to new and existing locations.
