Clark Nexsen/Landry & Lewis Team Completes Design of the University of Southern Mississippi Century Park Living/Learning Residential Community

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA, May 18, 2009 – Clark Nexsen, an award-winning, architectural, engineering, interior design, planning, and landscape architecture firm, is pleased to announce that the design team of Clark Nexsen and Landry & Lewis Architects, PA have completed the design of Century Park Living/Learning Residential Community for the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  This project was named in celebration of USM’s 100th Anniversary.

Century Park will include four, four-story residential structures and a Learning Center building totaling approximately 205,000 SF of floor space in a gated community.  The buildings will accommodate 864 student residents (primarily 2-person bedrooms, with private bath), as well as study lounges and other common use areas.

When completed, Century Park will provide almost 25% of the total residential capacity at the University.  This $37.7 million project is expected to be completed in fall of 2010.  LEED Silver certification is being sought for Century Park.  Clark Nexsen is serving as Design Architect and Landry & Lewis Architects is the Architect of Record for the project.
