Alfond Inn brings Mediterranean charm near Disney World

Nov. 8, 2017

Located just 20 miles from Walt Disney World, the Alfond Inn is a boutique hotel that captures the magic and wonder of a Mediterranean palace with a modern twist. Since the inn opened its doors in 2013, the white stucco, arched ceilings, natural daylight and curved corners have left visitors with a feeling of awe.

The inn’s “jeweled center” consists of a 39-foot domed skylight across the conservatory. The striking copula contains large glass panels with frames coated in Valspar Fluropon Classic II in Bronze. This coating has a proven track record for durability and performance against the elements, making a lasting impression for hotel guests.

The copula and the wall-height windows create a vibrant, light-filled space below this is used for special events such as weddings and reunions. The Mediterranean charm brings life and vibrancy to any event.

The boutique hotel is owned by Rollins College and made possible by a $12.5 million grant from the Harold Alfond Foundation. Net income from the inn helps fund a scholarship program at the college.
