The Chicago-based design firm bKL Architecture unveiled a concept for a megatall tower in Shenzhen, China.

If built, the H700 Shenzhen Tower will be the third-tallest tower in the world. At 2,297 feet (700 meters), it will trail only Dubai’s Burj Khalifa (2,717 feet) and the Jeddah Tower (3,280 feet), which is currently under construction in Saudi Arabia. It will pass the 2,073-ft. Shanghai Tower to become China’s tallest building.

The mixed-use tower will have multiple sky gardens, and the plaza at its base will contain retail and public spaces.

Curbed notes that the tower’s shape is sleeker than other recent megatalls. It incorporates V-shaped angled recesses at both the base and the crown, which also contains a six-story inner structure. Renderings show that it will be a waterfront tower.

No construction timetable has been announced.
