Tarlton Corp. is managing the first phase of construction of a research office building at the new Bio-Research & Development Growth Park at the Danforth Center in Creve Coeur, Mo.

Wexford Science + Technology, a Hanover, Md.-based real estate investment and development company, tapped Tarlton to oversee construction of the core and shell of the new research office building. It is scheduled to be the first of three new buildings in BRDG Park being developed to support the needs of emerging life science companies.

The four-story building is targeted for LEED certification. Its 118,000 square feet will be home to multiple tenants and will encompass wet laboratories and adjoining office space. The structure will be built on a concrete foundation, with structural steel framing and a mixture of masonry, flat metal panel and aluminum curtain wall veneer with custom aluminum sun screens.

Mackey Mitchell Associates is the architect of record, while Gaudreau Inc. of Baltimore is providing architectural, planning and engineering consulting.
