The Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center in Biloxi is once again open for business following a renovation and expansion necessitated by Hurricane Katrina. Atlanta-based tvsdesign collaborated with Biloxi-based Eley Guild Hardy Architects on the 400,000-sf project, which expanded the center’s conference space with a design inspired by the coastal setting. The wave forms of the roof relate to the building’s blue wave wall that welcomes visitors, while carpet and terrazzo floors are patterned after the color and movement of the ocean.
