Building Design+Construction won a total of six awards for editorial and graphic excellence in the 2012 ASBPE business-to-business journalism competition: two National awards for “‘The Owner’s Perspective’ Series” and “Construction Waste Management,” as well as three regional awards for “Editorials,” the May 2011 White Paper on “Zero and Net-zero Energy Buildings + Homes”; and a profile of EYP Architecture & Engineering—a BD+C “Best AEC Firm to Work For” winner—in December 2011.
BD+C Designer Elena Mengarelli won a regional Graphics Excellence Award for the design of “Living Buildings: Are AEC Firms Up to the Challenge? (September 2011).
“Construction Waste Management” was written by Scott Grogan, LEED AP BD+C, Scott Bollmann, LEED AP BD+C, Robynn Selle, JD, LEED AP, and Chrisie Ambrass, of Turner Construction Co. This AIA/CES course (September 2011) was also a Finalist for the Jesse H. Neal Award, the highest honor in B2B journalism. +
