BCA Construction & Design Expo

Thousands of people attend 30th show in Fort Wayne

By Staff | August 11, 2010

"Building More Environmentally Responsible" was the theme of the 30th Building Contractors Association (BCA) Construction & Design Expo, held March 7-8 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind. The BCA show — one of the Midwest's premier construction trade shows — featured numerous activities to educate builders and designers about the processes of creating buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.

In partnership with the Northeast Indiana Green Build Coalition, two full days of workshops were offered on green build topics. Professionals from around Indiana came to Fort Wayne to present programs on a variety of topics, including LEED, construction recycling, green material specifications, and green heating and cooling.

Thousands of people attended the show, which featured over 175 exhibitors — many of whom showcased green materials and services.
