Mobile application foursquare has appointed New York City’s premier contracting and construction management firm, Aragon Construction, to complete a 20,000 sf build-out at their new tenth floor office space at 568 Broadway. The project will be completed in early January.
Aragon is constructing the top two floors of space in partnership with Echo Design + Architecture, led by Manhattan-based architect Ajay Chopra. The tenth floor features the first phase of the build-out, which will eventually encompass the eleventh floor for a total of around 56,000 sf.
The modern, minimalist build-out will have elements of the foursquare “badges” in different aspects of the space, using glass, steel, and vibrantly painted gypsum board. The company will also make use of iPads attached to the main reception area for a tech-savvy entranceway that can be programmed for different themes.
With the short time frame of the build-out, foursquare will make use of many existing elements in the space, including many of the existing offices with glass doors and fronts. Two new offices will be added, as well as a high-tech conference room with a ceiling projector and colorful interior walls. BD+C
