Business groups have asked the U.S. Department of Labor to reconsider a proposed hiring quota aimed at federal contractors pertaining to people with disabilities. The agency wants people with disabilities to account for at least 7% of the workforce at companies that do business with the government. Stephen Sandherr, CEO of Associated General Contractors of America, said there’s no evidence businesses are treating people with disabilities unfairly in the hiring process.
