Bridges to the Future - 2017 National Energy Codes Conference will be held in Pittsburgh from July 17th to July 20th.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, the conference will include an Energy Codes Bootcamp, a series of workshops that will provide a sampling of code basics, compliance software training, and a look at what's new in codes. Participants will have opportunities to pose questions to DOE & Pacific Northwest National Laboratory staff.
The boot camp workshop is offered at no additional charge to conference attendees, but space is limited and registration is required. Conference events include a tour of the Tower at PNC Plaza.
Opened in October 2015, the building hosts more than 2,000 employees. It incorporates many state-of-the-art technologies, including a double-skin façade and solar chimney. The tower was designed to exceed LEED Platinum certification and to be the greenest office building in the world.
