1. 2170 VAPOR REDUCTION SYSTEM | AC Tech 

By applying this system on freshly cured concrete slabs, contractors can start work on the building structure just three to five days after the pour. Available in a standard 12-hour cure and a fast-track four-hour cure, the system prevents the slab from curling or cracking, eliminates the need for expensive concrete finishing, and enhances the durability of the slab by providing a topcoat that is resistant up to 14,000 psi.

 

2. GREENFORCE ADHESIVE AND MOISTURE CONTROL MEMBRANE | Bostik 

On a condo renovation project in a classic Telluride, Colo., building, the architectural designers specified five-, six-, and seven-inch-wide, solid oak, 3⁄4-inch planks to be installed throughout the unit. When working with wood, moisture intrusion is a major concern. GreenForce adhesive and moisture control membrane was specified due to its tenacious bond strength and moisture vapor protection. When combined with Bostik’s Thickness Control Spacer Technology, the system’s performance is like that of natural cork’s sound-dampening properties. 

 

3. OAK VISIONS VINYL TILE | Carlisle  

This luxury vinyl tile collection is resistant to water, scratches, stains, and scuffing, providing a durable solution for commercial projects. Oak Visions comes in six styles, including the rich brown of the Plymouth version (shown here), in 60x7 1⁄4-inch planks. Made from 25% post-consumer and 20% post-industrial recycled material.

 

4. SANDSTONE PORCELAIN TILE | Daltile 

In rebranding THEhotel in Las Vegas’s Mandalay Bay complex, MGM Resorts Intl. and the Morgans Hotel Group wanted a desert design theme that provided durability to the high-traffic spaces. A combination of natural stone and wood-look tile was selected to cover 34,000 sf of the renamed Delano Las Vegas. The arrival/entrance area features 8,700 sf of Daltile’s 18x36-inch Sandstone porcelain tile that complements two massive natural stone boulders. Daltile’s Forest Park wood-look tile covers nearly 17,000 sf of surface area across the hotel’s 1,117 guest suites. 

 

5. MARMOLEUM MODULAR STRIATO | Forbo

Available in planks and squares, the Striato flooring suite includes 59 shades in four tile sizes: 10x40, 10x20, 20x20, and 10x10 inches. The shades, shapes, and structures of Marmoleum Modular Striato were selected to provide a balanced, organic palette. It features inherent antimicrobial and antistatic properties that resist bacterial growth. Suggested applications: healthcare, education, corporate, and retail facilities.

 

6. TIMBERCORE LAMINATE FLOORING | Lucida Surfaces

Laminate flooring never swells or warps. TimberCore flooring features mBrace, a casing for each plank that provides 100% water resistance and better air exchange to prevent mold and mildew growth. The planks are made from premium pressed natural wood and have locking mechanism tabs, called nuClick, along the sides. This makes the floors 10 times more durable than other brands, and makes installation at least 25% faster.

 

7. EDEN EXPRESSIONS ANTIQUE COLLECTION | Musson Rubber 

Vinyl tile line provides the look and feel of antique wood with the durability necessary for high-traffic commercial applications, including medical facilities, education buildings, and office settings. These 6x36-inch LVT planks have a 40 mil ceramic-bead wear layer that requires no waxes, sealers, or other finishes. Available in eight seasoned wood patterns.

 

8. NORAPLAN NTX | nora systems 

This rubber sheet flooring system reduces flooring installation time by as much as 50% when compared to standard PVC sheet installation. Pre-applied, solvent-free self-adhesive minimizes prep work and eliminates drying time to simplify flooring installation. No need to spread adhesives, and zero wait time after installation, allowing for immediate welding, initial cleaning, and rolling loads.

 

9. DITRA-HEAT ELECTRIC FLOOR WARMING MAT | Schluter Systems 

This integrated floor warming system provides uncoupling technology to prevent cracks in ceramic and stone tiles and grout. The heating cables can be snapped into place on top of the uncoupling mat with no need for clips or fasteners. The mats come in rolls and sheets. Heating cables are available in 120- and 240-volt circuits.

 

10. JOHNSONITE MINERALITY RUBBER FLOORING | Tarkett North America 

Resilient flooring brings linear and striated visuals to wood/stone rubber tiles and planks. Johnsonite Minerality was inspired by the natural grain of wood and stone materials. The flooring can be custom colored so that no two patterns are exactly alike. Suggested applications: hospitality and corporate market segments.
